Shamal Holding, the Dubai-born diversified investment firm, owner of Nad Al Sheba Gardens, has unveiled The Grand as the official name of its new community retail and lifestyle destination in the heart of neighbourhood.

Fully leased ahead of opening, The Grand represents the next chapter in Shamal’s long-term vision for Nad Al Sheba Gardens. Opening in phases from 19 August 2026, the destination brings together a carefully curated mix of premium grocery, dining, wellness, healthcare and everyday services, creating a place designed around the needs and rhythms of modern community life.

Anchored by the first Waitrose and Partners in Nad Al Sheba, The Grand has been conceived as more than a traditional community mall. Designed as a welcoming lifestyle destination, it combines convenience with quality, creating an environment where residents can shop, meet, dine, exercise and spend time together as part of their everyday lives.

The first phase of openings will begin from 19 August 2026, led by Waitrose and Partners, alongside MMI, Heart Cottage Lane, Maple Bear Nursery, Al Jaber Optical and Fixperts.

From early September, The Grand will welcome a thoughtfully curated collection of dining concepts, cafes, bakeries, wellness and lifestyle brands, including Tashas, Somewhere, Home Bakery, Kokoro, Blu Pizzeria, Bake My Day, Daima, Staywell Pharmacy and Tips & Toes. Fitcode and American Hospital will complete the destination’s health and wellness offering in early 2027.

“The Grand represents the next phase of Shamal’s long-term vision for Nad Al Sheba and for the communities we create. Thoughtful creation has shaped every aspect of the destination, not simply to offer convenience, but to elevate the everyday. More than a community mall, The Grand is a lifestyle destination designed to feel welcoming, connected and effortlessly part of daily life.” said Abdulla Binhabtoor, Chief Executive Officer of Shamal Holding.

The Grand forms an integral part of Shamal’s broader vision for Nad Al Sheba Gardens, reflecting the company’s approach to placemaking through carefully considered destinations that enrich everyday living that create lasting value for residents and wider community.

Further details on the remaining openings, experiences and community programming at The Grand will be announced over the coming months.
